Olga Olivia Balabanov Lapka
January 15, 1926 - March 24, 2020
Friends of UCCF, I am so sad to have to post this message, but do not take that sadness as despair, rather as very human grief.
On March 24th, Olga Olivia Balabanov Lapka, quietly slipped into sleep and awoke in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Everyone who knew my mom, knew that they were seen as individuals and loved as children of God. The verse that she had on her UCCF business card was:
"Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another."
That was our magnificent mom.
Times being what they are, a Celebration of Life will need to happen at a later time. I did put together a little legacy booklet ... a digital mini Celebration of Life and if you'd like to view it, here is the link: https://www.flipsnack.com/foxsong/olga-olivia-balabanov-lapka.html
You already can guess, that in lieu of flowers, mom would rather have you consider donating to UCCF (through Canada Help website: https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/ukrainian-childrens-christian-fund/
The mission will continue with the loving support of the UCCF Board and you all.

Galina Doubroff, Founding Member UCCF
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Galina, who served for many years on the PCF and UCCF Board of Directors, was a regular on the PCF radio ministry broadcasts, and beloved sister to Olga Lapka. Galina's music, art, and loving personality touched many lives. We will miss her, but rejoice in her triumphant homegoing and look forward to meeting her again in Eternity.
